Overview

Allison Creekmore is someone who loves all things sports; from writing and reporting on sports news to getting out and playing tennis. Her passion has led her to take on roles in the tech and sports industries. After graduating from Duke University, she began a career writing and reporting on sports at The Kansas City Star and The Star Tribune. After working at newspapers for six years, Allison transitioned her career path and began working at Major League Baseball and ESPN. At these companies, she held roles that fostered the growth of her extensive skill set through her work on different sites such as espnW.com, ESPNRISE.com/girl, MLB.com, and MiLB.com. Allson is currently the Senior Director at MLB Advanced Media/Major League Baseball in New York where she creates all digital products and content for many different baseball industry properties.

In between her time working at sports related companies, Allison also spent some time working at a tech startup where she learned about all facets of a new business. As she gained more experience from these diverse roles, Allison acquired a love for technology. Through her work at the startup, she has been able to develop skills in web and mobile development and established the procedures and practices for new websites. Allison is extremely interested in the way that sports and technology can be combined. In her role at this startup company, she became an instrumental part of the launch of a mobile app that focused on soccer training.
Allison is an avid tennis player, and she’s captained USTA teams for 10 years. She’s also a tennis fan, and in addition to attending the U.S. Open yearly, perhaps the highlight of her tennis fandom included a spontaneous trip to Wimbledon in 2016. Allison’s trip was written up in the New York Times, and she also was interviewed about her trip by Wimbledon Radio, Wimbledon TV, and the British Press Association.
